What We Do

How it Works

Personalized, Video-Guided Programs

If you have back, neck, jaw, shoulder, hip, knee ankle, elbow, wrist, or hand pain we are here to help. At Wheaton Physical Therapy Clinic your goal is our goal. After screening to ensure that you are a good candidate for physical therapy, our clinicians will perform a physical therapy evaluation looking for movement dysfunction, limitations in range of motion, strength deficits, and diminished neuromuscular control to determine the best strategy to achieve your goals. Typically your treatment will include a personalized, video-guided exercise program that can be modified and progressed by your therapist to achieve your goals. We do all of this from the comfort of your video call capable device; anything with internet, a camera, and a microphone will do. Our system is optimized for patients to use a smartphone.

First you read and agree to the consent form, pay for your first session, and you will receive a secure, HIPPA complaint link that you click on to schedule your first visit.

Before Your First Visit

Prior to your first visit, we ask that you fill out the requested health history and problem description on our secure, HIPPA compliant electronic form. Although it is not needed for us to perform your evaluation and treatment, we do accept referrals or orders from your doctor or medical provider. When it’s time for your appointment, we ask that you wear clothing appropriate for your injury or area of pain; for example if you have shoulder pain make sure you wear clothing that is loose enough to allow you to move without your motion being limited by your clothing. If you have knee pain, wear shorts or pants loose enough to allow your knee to bend smoothly. Ensure you have a safe space that can move around enough for the therapist to assess and treat you. Finally make sure your smartphone is charged up or you have a cord ready to go to avoid an outage during your appointment.

Scheduling & Return Visits

After your first visit, you will be able to schedule return visits and communicate with your clinician via our secure electronic messaging to ensure successful achievement of your goals. Your clinician can communicate your evaluation findings and plan of care to your primary care doctor or referring provider. Performing home exercises is fun and easy to do with your own personalized video exercise program.
